Hey Team!
So tomorrow is our tour of the Union Tribune. I hope everyone is ready to Suit Up! I think that is pretty awesome that we get the chance to work with an established company for a class!
So far I have just researched the website discoversd.com and liked all of the different Facebook pages. I think that our entire class is on the right track with how they need to brand themselves and use their resources to reach out to a younger audience. Consolidating the Facebook pages will be one way of doing that as well as advertising discoversd.com to our peers and showing them everything it has to offer. As well as cleaning up their website.
I was thinking more about the event that we have to plan at the end of the semester and wondering how you all felt about teaming up with the TPB Ole Music Festival. If the Union Tribune could contribute enough money we could stamp their name on the event. From what I know so far TPB wants the event to be a carnival-like atmosphere with a few bands playing. We could have giveaways that say the brand name and maybe create a few fun booth ideas. Let me know what you guys think. I am not married to the idea because I understand that it will need a lot of coordination and possibly money but its definitely a thought.
I also think that this class is going to be LEGEND... wait for it..... DARY!
