Content week #1

Monday was our first day in content. We were given our syllabus and discussed what is our assignment in this rotation. We then when over the basic concepts on what is news, a story and etc. It was helpful because it gave us an idea what they are looking for in our assignment. I never knew there was so much extra thought put into writing a story in a newspaper! And today we went over the twitter requirement, they had two of their reporters explain how to tweet and the basic idea what is expected from our tweets. We also went over how to take a photo and what to capture in a picture. I am excited to right this article but at the same time feel like we are on a time crunch. They want us to go to an event by monday. Unfortunately there is not much going on at USD this weekend and so many of us will have to look for an outside event to report about. I am glad we are given a mentor who we can contact and ask advice! I am excited to see what everyone is going to write about, I am sure everyone is going to do a wonderful job!
