St Judes Letters

For the content section, I covered the USD greek week letter writing event. At UT today they critiqued us on our live tweeting and photos. They mentioned that many of us tweeted very promotional tweets. They were amused how market oriented we are, which makes sense because many of us are marketing majors. I was fortunate enough to have tweeted in a journalistic manner and have covered the event fully from beginning to end. They really liked how I had a clear timeline of events. However, some of the other students did a much better job at including @ tags of performers or other people at the event. Overall, we all did a good job at the tweets. Personally I did find it difficult to tweet and get the info I needed for my write up. I felt like I was so focused on tweeting and taking good pictures that I did not have enough time to talk to as many students about the event as I would have liked. A few other students like Emily also mentioned that they felt this way in class today. It was a good learning experience to have to do all three at once though!

I really liked the critique on our pictures. I have personally taken a few photo classes and was very into that part of the assignment. My photo of the 6 year old cancer survivor, Gavin Ambrose, tye-dying a shirt at the event was well received by Michael who was in charge of our pictures. He said that they would definitely send that in to use. I also really enjoyed Anchal's pictures. She did a great job at using the grid they explained to us in her shots.
